Coastal Cliffs
One of my favorite locations in the Pacific Northwest, Ebey’s Landing, photographing this wonderful couple’s portraits. When the ingredients are right you don’t need to add much. It still gets me that all of this was captured on one Sony camera body and one 55mm 1.8 Zeiss lens. So much emotion, love, and character that came out of this session. This gives me the feels for sure!

Fort Fisher Family Session
Being a North Carolina portrait photographer is an underrated blessing. We have such incredible weather and environments. Outdoor portrait photography in and around Raleigh are my favorite sessions. I love this beach session near Kure Beach at Fort Fisher NC.
Take me to the ocean. Take me to the sea. Find me with sand between my toes. The ocean air like a warm hug. This is probably one of my favorite types of family sessions. Sunset, golden light, on the beach. Anytime, let’s do this anytime! Family sessions, engagements, whatever it is let’s capture it! This whole session captures everything I love in photography. Everything captured on my Leica MD and one 35mm 1.4 prime. The colors, the grain, the tones! Love this couple too!

Neuse River Engagement in Raleigh
I think this session embodies why I love living as a photographer in Raleigh. The rivers, lakes and forests are the heart of North Raleigh to me. This is southern living. Warm summer evenings. Wading through cool streams. This whole session was capture on my Leica MD. I think it is perfect for creating these filmic vibes. Some of the most special images of captured on this camera.
Downtown Musings
I’ve always been had a romantic attraction to the 1950’s. There was so many new discoveries in the midcentury. Things were built differently, cars had such incredible detail and color. The guitars of that era had shiny chrome and vibrant pastel colors. But most of all they made such incredibly beautiful vintage cameras and glass in that day. I love the kind of character and draw those lenses made. I believe it is what shaped some of the most iconic images we have seared into our nostalgia. I am always chasing that look. I think Matt & Kaylee really brought that to life for me in this session. A mixture of classic charm and character.
Ocean Engagements
I love working with couples who follow their passions. Justin & Nichole both worked on fishing boats in Alaska. They wanted to capture their love for each other and the sea. These two were so fun and up for making creative artwork and they were so generous gifting me with three of the biggest Dungeness crabs which are my favorite! I think working with classic SLR’s and I think it paired beautifully for this session. Let me know if you want to capture a unique ocean side adventure on the east coast!
